Canon Pocketronic Printing Question

I have an old Canon Pocketronic calculator that I got working. The printing on the light green tape is really light. I put in some white thermal tape (cut into 1/4 inch strip) and it prints really good Is the tape in the cassette bad? Can I buy white tape cassettes or am I going to have to cut 1/4" stips for the rest of my life. I REALLY enjoy this forum Marty
