Besides the stuck keys, quite often it is a short circuit somewhere on the PCB. It may be a result of numerous actions like: old battery leak, dirt inside a calculator, spilled coffee, dead insect, or suchlikes. Those can be helped quite easily with a bit of cleaning. Sometimes it is just a dead IC. You can't help it then.
