Hello dear amateurs, my Omron 86SR has its VFD display tube broken (seller on eBay 'forgot' to tell me). My question is : can I canibalize a VFD tube from another Omron, or another 86, or is it very special to this model ? Second question, does anyone have a machine carrying this part for the aforementioned surgery ? Can it be done by a normal person ? (another question is whether is is 'right' to do it, but I believe the 86SR is the better model of this particular series). I would be very happy to make this nice machine work. Thank you.
