warranty expired- totally black screen- ti 83 plus

Hi i have a ti-83 plus, i called support, they gave me all possible "ways" of fixing it but nothing helped. the prob is the screen is totaly black, when you take the batt out, it goes clean. i have to upload the os, but i can never get the "linking" window open, can anyone help me? thank you
