It's quite difficult to buy old calculator gifts for an avid collector. You usually don't know what all they already have and you can't be sure what would really be of interest. Further, the really good stuff is either expensive or hard to find. That said, one item that comes to mind is the first graphical calculator, the Casio fx-7000G. I've owned 3 of these at one time: one bought new in 1986 and two at garage sales. So I think they are fairly common and not too pricey. This model should be of some interest to any collector who doesn't already have one.
