The Novus 45xx calculators use 3 AA nicad cells. They are available at Radio Shack and a zillion other places. Make sure that you buy individual cells with solder tabs on them or a 3-cell pack (if you want to save yourself a little work). Either way, you'll need to solder to the existing wire leads inside the calculator -- make sure that you've got the +/- polarity right. Also, you may find that the wire leads have corroded too, in which case you'll need to replace them.
