What is the actual problem? I've a STW-10. It was jammed. I opened it. I removed the carriage and the keyboard block. I washed all using kerosene for lamps. I olied. I checked all mechanism. Now it works fine :-) It exist a Yahoo's group called Friden. You can find here some tips i received when i was restoring my machine. Andrea
