Hi all, This is a follow up to my previous message on this subject. I have recently acquired a Commodore SR-4190R. This is almost identical to the SR9190R in my original message. Well, I took the plunge and installed the cordless telephone batteries. It works remarkably well. Definitely an easy way to replace batteries of this kind. You could also use the same batteries to recell battery packs of the kind used in the TI-59 etc. Just desolder the wires and put the batteries in the casing, then solder the contacts to the tabs on the batteries.
