Who know this machine? It was a simple desktop adder, something like to the "American Adder". It was patended in 1894 and produced in France by Japy Freres&C. It was presented to Paris world exposition. But it had no commercial success. It is described in Jacob's (1912) and Martin's (1920) books. No relevant notices in Internet! In sixties some machines (Addipresto, Handy Swift, Schnellrechner, ...) based on identical mechanical principles had a large diffusion. Does somebody know other informations about this machine? Does exist other specimens of this machine? thank you, Andrea
