| "... will the world ever
see actual electronic calculators manufactured with the X-Number keyboard? I LOVE that
idea -- and I would buy one without a second thought! Good luck to you with that!" Bill Wood |
| "Your "000"
number-entry method is TOTALLY easy to get used to, and even though I only used it for a
few minutes, I already miss not having it on my HP48!" Joseph K. Horn |
| "This
seems much easier when doing data entry or calculations. I work in tech support for a
company that develops software for depreciation calculations... Often the customer will
rattle off a huge number (in an irritated voice), so I have to take it down quickly. After
a while you get good at it, but doing it with this tool will be easier." Marco Vaca Jr. |
| "James, as you know I
think your patent is great and conforms more easily to the way we think. I had a chance to
check it out here and I like it. I'd like to also reiterate my suggestion that a good idea for the first market of this is
children's computers to make it easier for them to learn and to introduce your idea to an
"up-and-coming" generation." Alex de

| "Your extended numeric
entry, from what I tried, seemed nice. It took a little to get used to, but once I got the
hang of it, it went pretty well. It seems to be especially good for numbers with a fair
amount of zeros." Kenton Green |
| "Very impressed! Like
the patent... Keep the good ideas coming!" Frank
Kosztelnik |
| "The simulated
calculator is really interesting; I like it." Nicholas Bodley |
| "Good for you James!
There must be something nice about having earned a patent. I tried your number entry
method, and it *does* make sense." Brad
McCormick, Ed.D. |
| "What I like most about your X-number idea is that it is simple,
easy to comprehend and is practical ... I wish you good success on the patent." Dave Humphrey |
| "I like the X number
idea, I think your barriers will be habitual rather than anything else. I guess your next
step is talking a manufacturer into it?" Steve
Haynes |
| "Your
patent is an excellent idea! It would serve the financial field well. I
will be checking this site often. Keep up the good work."

"Dear Mr. Redin, What a 'fantabulous' discovery you have there! Or is that an invention!? <winK> Here is a suggestion for your consideration as far as application/implementation of your X number entry system for future devices. I've worked a bit on UI design for the cable box (6 patents) and these make use of the remote control device for televisions, cable boxes, DVRs and the like. As you have noticed, I'm sure, the 10-key pad is completely reverse to the aforementioned devices AND, importantly, the telephone/PDA keypad. In other words, the 1-2-3 is across the top rather than at the bottom. The next logical step, as we still read left to right as we go down, I suggest, is to have your M-T-H keys at the bottom under the 7-8-9 key. Now, we know the 123 across the top is not feasible for the accountant with 10-key touch skills, but one could effectively counter that the rest of society is becoming more accustomed to the phone pad arrangement. Given this, can the addition of a M-T-H key below the suggested arrangement be far behind? I would love to see Eriksson, Motorola, RIM or Nokia offer the X-number on its high-end devices. I'll be sure to refer the Product Managers I know to your website. Keep up the good work and KEEP THINKIN'!" Valerie G. Hudgins Canton, GA - United States |

"An amazing concept, with unlimited potential. The
innovative X Number is a modern miracle and a great asset for any
organization which may have a need for maximizing efficiency in the work
place. Great job! I look forward to seeing updates in the immediate
future." Sean Stewart Tujunga, CA - United States |

"The X-Number idea is simply amazing. It is
rare to find an interface to any device that is as useable, and as human
as X-Number. I look forward to seeing it revolutionize data input.-Thank
you" Andrew Transit United States |

"Dear Mr. Redin,
I have read your article. On page 8 I found a mismatch I think so.
Should HT (10^8) replaced with HT (10^5) and inserted a line with HM
(10^8)?
Also, on the right side of page
8 is the line 245.000.000.072 245MM72. This should be
245.000.000.072 245TM72 or 245.000.000.000.072 with 245MM72.
If possible make an remark to prevent
confusion for future readers.
no calculater is purchasable. It is a
good idea to take an iPhone instead of a pocket calculator. I am
looking forward to use such a mobile app on a smartphone."
sincerely yours
