| "I have a new
addition to my collection that I thought you might like to add to your
site: I established its date through a picture from the IBM
collection, which dated an identical model (number 500) as being
manufactured in 1879.
This early Arithmometer, serial number
519, was manufactured by Arthur Burkhardt circa 1880. It is
distinguished by its clearing mechanisms (dials), which were
