THAT I NEED HELP IDENTIFYING, AND THEN SELLING.
ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY
APPRECIATED. THERE IS A NUMBER ON THE BOTTOM.

"It looks like a Monarch (made by
Remington Rand). I own a similar one, probably an earlier model, with the
same keys layout, the same actuating lever, and a very similar paper fed

"No question that Donald Stei's machine
is a Remington, but whether Remington Rand, I don't know.
I have a *heavy* Rem. Rand electric machine with a straight row of ten keys, quite likely for mult., and a divide key (semi-auto?). It accepts 11 digits from the 10-key (main) keyboard. It even has a roll of paper. Being a rotary calc. fan, I have had too little regard for this machine; after seeing this request for information, I'll have more respect for it! It was going to be trashed, and I saved it. Also saved a nice Olympia-built Monroe adder in quite-nice condition. (I'm not really interested in keeping these two machines, and if anyone wants more info., I can investigate. Boxing for shipping is quite difficult for me, unfortunately.) When you stop to think about it, the more compact you make a mechanism, the closer it approaches to becoming a solid chunk of steel (or alumin[i]um alloy)."
