Pangborn Calculator

"Very rare relative (possibly the predecessor) to the ubiquitous Lightning machine. Dates from 1908. You see the Lightning and its imitators all the time... but when have you ever seen a Pangborn? Machine works properly. Is mounted in a solid wooden base, and includes original cardboard box and instructions. Base has chip out of the wood at right side of machine (seen in photo). There's also some light colored paint on the right side of the base (not seen in photo). A decal on the machine states: "Patented March 5, 1907" Doesn't mean this specimen was MADE that early, but it does help confirm its approximate date of introduction." Darryl Rehr, 03/19/98
