I have the "The Collector's Guide to Pocket Calculators" book, and I was wondering who was who in the picture on the back cover. --

Kevan,

Im sure you will hear several responses, but the photo is of Bruce Flamm and Guy Ball taken in one of the display rooms at Bruces house. He has over 1500 calculators on display...quite a site.

Cheers!

Who is who?

Well, that dashing young man on the left is the world famous Bruce Flamm and that slightly nerdy guy with spectacles and a Hawaiian shirt on the right is me -- Guy Ball. The photo is taken at Bruce and his wife Jan's house in front of their "Flamm-Goings Collection."

And if you don't have the wonderful book, "Collector's Guide to Pocket Calculators," (the world's only comprehensive book on pocket calculators) for shame! We'd like to offer calc-list members a wonderful deal of just $17 plus shipping ($4 to US/Canada and $8 airmail to other countries). Just email me for mailing details.

By the way, there are no immediate plans for a 2nd edition (we're still trying to break even on our costs), but we may produce a small addendum with new calcs found since the book came out. I doubt this will happen until after the fall though. If you do have pocket calcs other than what is in the book, we'd appreciate if you let us know about them. Send us all the details as shown in the book. Note in your email subject heading "book addendum" so we know the purpose of your email. And if you can send that info to both of us, we'd appreciate it. I will try to post them on the oldcalcs website as I get them.

Thanks!

Guy
