| "View directly down over the mode selector
(top right of machine) which shifts brass cam (lower,
front right of machine). The right side of the carriage
is visible, the round ball in the slot clears the result
wheels to 0's. The operating crank is to the right which
engages a bevel gear which in turn rotates the main shaft
and the stepped drum inside the carriage. One turn of the
crank causes one operation. The drum turns the same
